Review: Elila Moulded Softcup Bra 1803

This will be a brief review on the Elila. The bra and fit do not suit me at all, and and the sizing was wrong…so it’s difficult to give a thorough review.

The Elila is a spacer foam fabric softcup bra, and since I am a fan of the Fantasie Rebecca and spacer foam fabric, I had hopes this bra would give me more support than most wireless, smooth cup bras. Unfortunately, the Elila 1803 is simply “too much bra” for my frame. The Elila is very supportive, and if you like full coverage (and by that I mean a vest) bras I recommend you give the 1803 a try.

Band: The 38″ band is firm – I could not size down even with a band extender. If you are a true 38 you may want to go up a size.

Gore: The 1803 is wireless; but for a wireless bra there was very good breast separation.

Cups: Despite the cups being 1-2 sizes too large, I got quite a bit of forward projection and definition in this bra. I still had east/west point at the tips, which a smaller cup size may have resolved. Going down in cup size, I may still have the same issues with cup fit as I have with wired bras – empty space below the breast and above the wire (in this case cup) line.

Conclusion: This bra is not for petite, short waisted, or high-set women. Yes, going down in cup size would reduce it’s footprint; however, at a side band of 5 1/2″ and gore of 6″ – the 1803 is still going to be alot of bra. It does give a very secure feeling, and if you don’t engage in high-impact sports it would make a decent sports bra.

gore: 6″

  1. […] a full coverage bra, and I could feel this in the cups. It was not quite a vest-like as the Elila 1803, but the Jana was definitely too much bra for me, especially where the cups/straps met my underarms […]
